Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

I found that I could relate to Lola in a lot of ways. I liked watching Lola and her mother get a little closer in the end. I enjoyed reading about Lola’s relationship with her birth mother as well. Reading about all of her different outfits was really fun! I really enjoyed the family aspect of this book! Lola’s dads were so loving and supportive of her, which was so great to read about. I love her passion for fashion design, and how creative she is. I love Lola’s character! She’s not afraid to stand out or be different. I absolutely love this book! The entire Anna and the French Kiss companion series is so fun and sweet! Though I love all of the books in this series Lola and the Boy Next Door is by far my favorite of the three! When Cricket, a gifted inventor, steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door. And everything is pretty perfect in her life (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood. Lola Nolan is a budding costume designer, and for her, the more outrageous, sparkly, and fun the outfit, the better. ***This review contains major spoilers!!
